I am pleased to recognise Ms Cathy Gault on being awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in the 2026 Australia Day Honours. Over many years, Cathy has shown an unwavering commitment to serving the Blue Mountains electorate and advocating for people with disabilities. Through her compassion, determination and leadership, she has helped ensure that voices are heard, and that dignity, inclusion and respect remain central to community life. Cathy's work has made a real and lasting difference, changing lives and strengthening my community. On behalf of the Blue Mountains community, I thank her for her past and ongoing service and warmly congratulate her on this well-deserved and prestigious honour.
