I am pleased to recognise Ms Caro Ryan on being awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in the 2026 Australia Day Honours. Living and working in the Blue Mountains, Caro has made a lasting contribution by encouraging people to connect with our extraordinary natural environment. Through her work, she has inspired countless members of the community to get outdoors, improve their health and wellbeing, and develop a deeper appreciation for caring for our unique landscapes. Caro's passion and commitment extend well beyond the walks themselves, creating a positive and enduring impact across my electorate. On behalf of the Blue Mountains community, I thank her for her ongoing service and warmly congratulate her on this well-deserved honour.
